Futrix 6 provides customers with the Freedom to Explore

Wellington, New Zealand - October 25, 2008. Futrix Ltd is pleased to announce the release of Futrix 6, the latest evolution of their web-based Business Intelligence software.

As Futrix has grown over the last 11 years it has continued to stay nimble and in tune with the needs of real users who are constantly challenged by not having timely access to the information they need. More people require faster access to constantly changing data in a visual and interactive way and Futrix 6 puts this capability into the hands of anyone with a web browser.

Founder and Conceptual Architect Ian Sutton says feedback from many businesses suggests that nicely formatted static reports no longer provide the level of flexibility required in a constantly changing market. "These reports take too much time, cost too much money and don’t allow the flexibility to answer all the questions that arise from viewing them" Sutton says. While other business intelligence software companies still seem to be focused on making reports faster to generate and sexier, Futrix believes that business users don’t want more reports, they want better access directly to the information and to empower them to help themselves.

Traditionally, anyone wanting to explore information in a multi-dimensional way has had to have skilled technical people define and set up these dimension structures, which involves time, money and constrains how the information can then be used. With Futrix 6 none of this is necessary. Once any table has been registered within Futrix the information is available to be explored by anyone with appropriate security, using as many dimensions as are available in the data and the freedom to navigate through them in any combination.

Futrix 6 provides business users with more of a self-service approach to information delivery, using an intuitive interface, delivered in a browser that requires no set up and minimal training. "It really does provide business people with the Freedom to Explore" says Sutton. For more information on how Futrix 6 would integrate into your environment, please contact Futrix or your local reseller.
