Following on from the success in the North American market, Futrix today announces the opening of the Asia-Pacific sales and marketing operation based in Sydney, Australia. Futrix, the award-winning Business Intelligence software, is developed in Wellington, New Zealand, but has predominantly been sold in the USA. It is sold through a number of reseller organizations who specialize in Business Intelligence solutions. “Expanding our sales and marketing efforts into the Asia-Pacific region was the next logical step for us,” says Clare Howden, CEO of Futrix. “We already have a number of very large organizations using Futrix software in Australia and New Zealand, and we need to grow our capability to take care of these customers as well as expanding our sales and marketing efforts in this region.”
Futrix has contracted Anthony Bishop to establish this new operation. Anthony has worked in the Business Intelligence software market for many years with customers throughout New Zealand and Australia. Anthony worked for SAS Institute for five years, initially in sales and then as the country manager for New Zealand. Anthony left SAS to establish the sales and marketing team at Xero before starting his own consulting business. Anthony has relocated to Sydney where he will be leading the charge for Futrix in the Asia-Pacific region. “Whilst many organizations are experiencing some degree of economic slow down, the demand for modestly priced web-based business intelligence software is on the increase,” says Bishop. “It is more important than ever to ensure organizations are making the right decisions based on accurate and up to date information.”
