Software Requirements

Futrix delivers self-service Business Intelligence solutions that empower people with the flexibility needed to get answers faster, while minimizing the effort for IT.
Futrix has been developed using SAS® software to provide sophisticated manipulation of data from any supported data source, and the power of advanced analytics.

Supported Operating Systems:

Microsoft® Windows Servers
UNIX/Linux Servers

Futrix is available on any server that is supported by SAS. For more information on the specific versions of these operating systems refer to the SAS System Requirements page.

Required SAS Server Software:

Please contact Futrix to discuss the SAS Software requirements for your specific environment.

Supported Data Types:

all data available within SAS (including SAS/OLAP)
all external data using any SAS/Access engine

SAS/Access engines provide fast, native connectivity to the major database technologies including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Sybase, Teradata and several others.

Other Third-Party Software Required:

Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5.0 or greater.
Java Application Server for the Futrix Web Component (for example JBoss®, Websphere®, Weblogic® or Tomcat®)
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or greater for Futrix Web clients

Futrix is able to assist with the necessary Java software for organizations that do not currently license this software.
