Futrix Mobile Viewer enables connectivity to advanced Futrix functionality for Apple iPad/iPhone and Android Smartphone/Tablet devices. Futrix has always enabled analysis of data like no other solution in the world by empowering "self-service" exploration of data without constraints. Now using Futrix Mobile Viewer, organizations have even more flexibility and agility to use the power of Futrix to accurately answer business questions from any location at any time.

Futrix Mobile Viewer differs from other mobile reporting tools as the user is not constrained by the way the back-end data was designed, nor by simple static reports or fixed drill paths. With Futrix Mobile Viewer it is easy to discover relevant information from the oceans of data, surface meaningful information interactively and visualize the data in innovative ways to gain further understanding.

Futrix Mobile Viewer uses a secure connection between the application and the back-end Futrix server, in addition the application does not store any information or user passwords on the device and none of the source data is cached or saved on the device in any form.

New geographic mapping based on MapQuest® is now available in Enterprise Viewer and Futrix Mobile. This new geospatial analysis environment includes additional online functionality such as the ability to zoom and pan the map as well as switch to satellite imagery.


Aggregate Banding is a powerful new back-end analytic capability that allows the data to be classified by segments (bands) based on the totals of a selected Measure (for example "high", "medium" and "low"), when the data is pre-summarized by a selected Dimension. Once the Aggregate Banding Dimension is created, the unique power of Aggregate Banding is that they can be applied to further analysis in any data source, even those that do not contain the details needed to create the banding.

For example, the Aggregate Banding could show claims separated into groups based on claimants who have a total amount of paid dollars on all of their claims between $0-10,000, $10,000-30,000, $30,000-50,000, $50,000+, or based on claimants separated into groups showing the number of inpatient admits per patient, etc.


Event-Based Analysis Groups are used to identify a select population and then search for another criteria for that population within (or beyond) a defined timeframe. It does this by dividing data into two subsets ("Yes" and "No"), where the "Yes" subset is set of values of an Analysis Dimension (e.g. Member ID, Provider ID, etc.) that fit the criteria for the first event (as defined by a data source and filters) as well as fit the criteria for the second event (possibly a different data source and additional filters) AND where the two events have occurred for each Analysis Dimension Value within (or beyond) the specified time frame.

In addition, the unique power of Event-Based Analysis Groups is that the identified populations can be used for further analysis in any data source, not necessarily the same data source that the population is identified in.

For example, Event-Based Analysis Groups are designed to answer important business questions such as:

  • identifying a set of members who have received a diagnosis for low back pain and if they had an MRI within 30 days of that diagnosis.
  • identifying a set of members who had an Inpatient admission within 30 days of an Emergency Room visit.
  • identifying set of patients who have been taking a particular drug less than 6 months after heart surgery.


Many other enhancements to the Futrix Web client as well as to Metadata Management have also been introduced,
including Metadata Import/Export.
